method of application:
1. stack fumigation
- calculate the tablets as per quantity of the storage.
- put the tablets into the cloth pouches or in try (to easily dispose of the tablets residues).
- place the tablets above and in between the stacks and mark the places where tablets placed.
- cover the stacks with tarpaulin sheet.
- seal the edges (gas tight) of the tarpaulin sheet by using sand sacks placed at the edges and ends of the commodity stacks that air cannot pass from the stacks.
- close all windows and doors.
- onto the main gate of storage house paste a chart with the note on it (fumigation with aluminium phosphide is under process).
2. flat storage fumigation
- calculate the tablets as per grain quantity.
- keep windows, doors and ventilators open during the operation
- insert the probe at 3-4ft into the grain and insert the tablets.
- for gas tightness use tarpaulin sheet to cover all the food grain.
- close windows, doors and ventilators closed.
- onto the main gate of storage house paste a chart with the note on it (fumigation with aluminium phosphide is under process).
3. grain silos fumigation
- calculate the tablets as per grain quantity.
- keep windows, doors and ventilators open during the operation.
- place tablets into the cloth pouches.
- then place tablet pouches onto the grain conveyer belt flows into the silos sheet.
- close windows, doors and ventilators.
4. burrow fumigation
- allocate the holes in the field.
- place paper into the holes and flag the position.
- day after tomorrow allocate the active holes (holes from where piece of paper removed by the burrow animals (rodents, snakes, rabbits).
- insert the tablet by using applicator.
- close the hole with wet mud.
precautions during fumigation:
- use gas mask.
- use gas detector meter.
- wear gloves.
- first aid box.
- never fumigate alone.
- before enter into the fumigation room allows wind to pass minimum for 4 hours.
- never fumigate near to residential areas.
- residues of aluminium phosphide should be mix with detergent in water and buried at approved site.
